Description

(PLEASE full-view--I just noticed how blurry and horrible it looks in the normal view.)

Cliche name is cliche...yes, I know. :P Anyway, although it took me months to remember to post this, I had a lot of fun making it. I originally used this Portugese hero-maker thingie to do these, and then altered/erased and re-drew entirely the heck out of them. It's mostly my own artwork now--but I figured credit should still be given where it's due. Besides, this hero-maker is cool enough that I thought everybody should see it. :) Believe it or not, this is nothing to do with promoting the new Green Lantern movie--I just happened to get interested in that particular comic universe last summer on my own.

To answer upcoming questions/complaints, if any real GL fans who have known the comics WAY longer than I have (which wouldn't take much) find this:

1. They're arranged in a way that is part logic and part random. Hal ended up in the center because...he's HAL. He wouldn't STAY out of the spotlight if you _shoved_ him out. Alan gets to be next to him because he's the original. Then Jade is near him so we can have the family hangin' out together (aww), Kyle is near her because they're at least sometimes a couple, then Guy, John and Katma-Tui were more or less randomly placed (although the fact that Katma ended up next to John was also not entirely coincidence).
Note that I don't actually "ship" anybody here, it was just a convenient method of placing them.

2. Q. WHERE is (Killowog/Tomar Re/Soranik Natu/Arisia/Sodom Yat/name of many other Lanterns not shown here)? You HAVE to include _them_, they're my favourite!

A. I only had so much horizontal room! With so much care put into each individual uniform, I didn't want to layer people into the back too much--and I hate horizontal scrollbars, don't you? I do kinda regret that this ended up so human-centric, however. :P

3. Q. Your guys aren't big and muscular enough and the women's boobs are too small for superheroes. And Jade is the wrong shade of green.

A. I know--awesome, isn't it? And that wasn't a question. :)
(And I've seen Jade as every shade from pale mint to dark forest, so I figured I had some leeway there.)

Other stuff--before you ask, Hal Jordan is NOT Parallax'd again. I just gave him grey streaks in his hair because (a) he's the second-oldest one here, and (b) it looks awesome, that's why. Alan is supposed to be older here than he started but not AS old as he is today (everybody's sorta taken out of time at whatever point I felt like), and I gave the masked characters visible eyes behind the mask instead of the typical blank-white deal 'cos I think that looks nicer. They all have eye colours, too.

Made in Paint, with the words done in the Cartoon font and made curvy in OpenOffice, flames hand-drawn by me (the logo is based off of various Golden/Silver Age ones, but is not actually _copied_ off of any I've seen yet), lantern drawn by me (it's based directly off a screenshot from Hal Jordan's 1959 origin story, in case anybody cared) and I used Paint.net to make the glowy effects glowier.

Hope you like!
