Downtime

More "Princess Maker"-based goodness...here we see the "servant" characters from three of the games, kicking back and finally getting a chance to relax after a very long, VERY hard day's work of _constantly_ looking after that little brat--er, I mean, "darling" daughter of yours. (Your character's daughter, I mean.)
The little brown-skinned guy with pointy ears is Cube again, of course, and I made up my own idea of what the outfit looks like under that tuxedo jacket he always wears...the oh-so-proper silver-haired dude is Raphael, from "Princess Maker: Legend of Another World" (the game is all in Japanese (which I can't read), and yet this extremely snooty personality STILL manages to come out somehow!) and the floating pink-haired pixie is Uzu, from PM3. Uzu is at least sometimes called a girl, but people seem to mess up and think "she" is an it or a guy sometimes, so I upped the feminine-factor by giving "her" makeup and fingernail polish. Heh.
Either that or he's just feeling metrosexual today...

Despite the fact that I bet very few people who look at this picture will know or CARE anything about the games it was inspired by, I like the picture itself anyway. That wallpaper pattern on the walls, I made myself. Didn't snitch it from anywhere. By careful altering of colours I managed to make Uzu's wings look actually transparent. I pulled off a couple of tricky perspective and pose problems (tricky to me, anyway) and everybody is pretty darn in character. I like it.

As a couple of side-notes--that cake Cube is about to eat isn't normal chocolate, it's--wait for it--devil's food ('cos he's a DEMON...get it? (snicker)) and as for the title, "A Quiet Evening Downstairs"--the word "downstairs" is meant in the "Upstairs, Downstairs" sense. As in, that's where the servant's quarters would be in a big rich household in old-timey England. Yeah.
