From Pop to Poodle Skirts

It's the '50s! This is the "cover art" for the huge '50s collection of music I put together "recently". Now, when you think '50s music, you think like, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry and Bill Haley and the Comets, that kind of thing, right?
Only _partially_ right. This is a chronological collection of the WHOLE '50s. Meaning, also the pre-rock pop stuff. Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney and the Weavers and stuff like that.

SO. The two ladies here are meant to represent the two styles. The one on the left is a more mature woman with formal ballgown, ready to dance the beguine to a smooth big band combo, while the one on the right, of course, is a sassy boppin' teenager who listens to that there newfangled "rock" music. Hee.
They started off more detailed, then I decided to simplify them down to just silhouettes. (No, it's not an I-pod ad parody...)

The background, incidentally, is meant to be a snowy, "scrolling" TV set, for another hugely popular '50s thing.
