Rika, Cat-Girl Extraordinnaire

I normally don't go for the cliche of "catgirls" in anime, but Rika was the first one I met and for some reason, I just liked her. She grew up in only one year and her "mother", the thing that raised her, was a computer, so she's very naive about the outside world...yet also has seriously KICK BUTT abilities in battle, being pretty good at both fighting _and_ magic. The combination of sweetness and deadliness really _is_ a lot like a cat, and I like cats, so hey.

Her "race" is actually called Numans (New Humans)--genetically engineered beings that blend humans with catlike traits. (Nei and Neifirst are Numans, too.) They are only made as one-off experiments and considered "dangerous freaks" up until Phantasy Star Online, when you start seeing a whole lot more of them around including...boy ones! But in her time period, poor Rika is the only one of her kind. Aww.
