The Brave Professor

And we skip on to Phantasy Star IV, which, though I love it dearly, I haven't gotten around to drawing much fan-art of it yet. Anyway. This is Hahn, professor at Motavia academy and possibly my favourite character of the game...BECAUSE most other people don't like him. They say he's cowardly, weak, etc. I say it's not that he's cowardly; it's just that he's an ordinary guy suddenly thrown into all these weird situations with monsters and so forth and unlike the professional adventurer types, he's not USED to it. He reacts the way _we_ would, in real life. That's why I like him. He's an Everyman. And you don't get to take those along with you as party members very often.
That, and he's got basically the abilities of a D&D-style cleric--cool healing/defensive magic with pretty decent fighting abilities. Useless? I've had him in my party for the last battle against the Profound Darkness _every single time_ I've played this game, and he always helped.

This pose is not meant to be a "sexy" pose, by the way, he's just relaxin'. As for the picture itself, well, this is from my early days of using Paint, and it shows. I kind of like the slanting shadows, though.
